Wisconsin Power Play By PAUL KRUGMAN Published: February 20, 2011 - The America Oligarchy Starts with the Supreme Court Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and Health Care REFORM

The American Oligarchy Starts with the Supreme Court

Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission

and
Health Care REFORM
Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and Health Care REFORM, where is all this Grass Roots Opposition to Health Care Reform?  The majority of America wants Health Care Reform.  The Grass ROOTS of America need health care reform.  Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission is funding a MINORITY to sell falsehoods, fallacies and an enormous well finance MEDIA PRESENCE condemning President Obama's effort without offering a solution to FIX health care in America today.
The U.S. Census Bureau reported that a record 50.7 million Americans—16.7% of the population—were uninsured in 2009.  Surely 16.7% of the population wants health care reform.
With 5% of the world's population and nearly 25%[1] of the worlds wealth "Life expectancy in the USA is 49th (78.11) in the world, below most developed nations and some developing nations[2].

U.S.A. Life expectancy at birth ----- Highest - Lowest------- World Rank 49[3]
U.S.A. Infant mortality rate------------ Lowest - Highest ------- World Rank 46[4]
U.S.A. health care as % of GDP -- Lowest - Highest------- World Rank 191[5]

The World Health Organization (WHO), in 2000, ranked the U.S. health care system as the highest in cost, first in responsiveness, 37th in overall performance, and 72nd by overall level of health (among 191 member nations included in the study).  The Commonwealth Fund ranked the United States last in the quality of health care among similar countries, and notes U.S. care costs the most."  We are spending more and GETTING LESS than any other developed nation in the world on Health Care!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Americans need health care reform!!!!

If you remember the winter, spring and summer of 2009, President Obama had as promised proposed Health Care Reform.  There was open and healthy debate in the Congress.  Things, while slow for a party in control of both houses and the presidency, were progressing.  Then during the Congressional Summer Recess of 2009 the wheels seem to come off.  FOX News started reporting a Grass ROOTS revolt.
"On Oct. 27, the day after Senate Democrats introduced a bill with a public insurance option from which states could opt out, Bill Sammon, a Fox News vice president and Washington managing editor, sent the staff a memo.
"Please use the term 'government-run health insurance,' or, when brevity is a concern, 'government option,' whenever possible," the memo said."
They are just making it up.  The President's Proponents described the plan as the public option.  FOX would not quote the proponents as spoke they spun their reporting to their anti Government Anarchist SLANT.  They just make it up.
This was all documented in the press, "Report: How Fox News Managing Editor Bill Sammon Spun The Health Care Debate."[6]  The "Tea Party" seemed to spring out of no-where after that early in 2009.  First with the government plan to refinance mortgages January 2009, and then picking up the banner AGAINST Health Care Reform in August of 2009.
Because of the ruling Citizens United v Federal Election Commission, 130 S.Ct. 876 (2010) Jan 21, 2010 there was NO GOVERNMENT tracing or limitation for any of the funding for the then sanctioned FREE SPEECH.
Now we have FOX News and others making this into a logically false argument; an ad hominem argument (Latin: "to the man"), also known as argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to link the validity of a premise to a characteristic or belief of the person advocating the premise by calling it "Obamacare" .
I feel confident that President Obama is a big enough man that the personal attack is like water off a duck's back.  It means NOTHING to him personally.  But, as a competent, credible and conscientious public servant he still wants to fix the PROBLEM:

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Americans need health care reform!!!!

Fox News and the Tea Party Movement offer NO SOLUTION.  They just attack with logical fallacies, out-right-falsehoods[7] and an enormous well finance MEDIA PRESENCE condemning President Obama's effort without offering a solution to FIX health care in America today.

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Americans need health care reform!!!!

"Over the past 30 years, total national spending on health care has more than doubled as a share of GDP… according to CBO's projections that share will double again by 2035, to 31 percent of GDP.  Thereafter, health care costs will continue to account for a steadily growing share of GDP, reaching 41 percent by 2060 and 49 percent by the end of the 75-year projection period."[8]
Laissez-faire economics will not fix this problem.  We need to intercede with "government of the people, by the people, for the people."  This is a classic failure of the Free-Enterprise system.  We have seen this happen before, the depression in the 1930's and most recently in the banking failure where 30 years of deregulation, Laissez-faire economics, created a hyper-inflated REAL-ESTATE bubble that burst; we are still mopping up after that failure of the free market Laissez-faire economics.
Health Care supply is controlled[9] by an elitist well-financed minority monopoly.  Demand is irresistible; who can or will deny themselves health care.  This is not some luxury item that can be left to market forces.  Everyone needs HEALTH CARE.  No one can survive without health care.  To even attempt to hold back from well care / preventative care, only adds to the bottom line of health care cost.  To force those that can not afford well care to use emergency services adds to the overall bottom line of health care cost.
We need to get rid of the DESTRUCTIVE rhetoric, the falsehood, the fallacies, and the MINORITY[10] of well financed self-interests  and FIX the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a life or DEATH ISSUE
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Americans need health care reform!!!!

[10] "In principle, every American citizen has an equal say in our political process. In practice, of course, some of us are more equal than others. Billionaires can field armies of lobbyists; they can finance think tanks that put the desired spin on policy issues; they can funnel cash to politicians with sympathetic views (as the Koch brothers did in the case of Mr. Walker). On paper, we're a one-person-one-vote nation; in reality, we're more than a bit of an oligarchy, in which a handful of wealthy people dominate."  "Wisconsin Power Play" By PAUL KRUGMAN, New York Times Published: February 20, 2011
