Just imagine having the ability to concentrate like "Rain Man" (Dustin Hoffman) with autism, just imagine having the unrelenting plethora of ideas like "attention-deficit" disorder describes (ADHD), just imagine having the seemingly boundless energy to fidget, pace and "stim" i.e., "hyper-activity" in your 60s (ADHD).

I luckily had a Father, who saw all this in me. He probably had the same personal experiences as a child. He KNEW better than the so-called experts in the 60s-70s of my childhood. He would not allow me to be crippled by the drug therapy that was being suggested to him. I grew up completely DRUG free.

Yes, there are highs and lows, sometimes described as manic-depressive. I never had the burden of a hated-handicap to complicate things. I always had and now have the MEMORY (1923-1989) of my father's patience and tolerance to satiate any emotional response, "I am OK, you are OK."
