"Is sugar toxic?" you might as well say breathing too much oxygen is toxic also. Our bodies take virtually everything we eat and turn it in to SUGAR!!!!!

Sugar is the gasoline of the human body. Yes when you pour gasoline all over a car and then light a match the car is destroyed. By the same token if you bury yourself in oxygen, Hyperventilation, it is TOXIC.

Again we are missing the issue. I would suggest reading "The Meaning of Addiction", Stanton Peele. It is not the CONTROLLED substance that causes addiction, it is the vessel, the receiver, the USER's OVER USE that causes the detrimental side effects.

Abstinence is not a cure. You cannot effect a cure until you understand the problem. Take away a crutch and the cripple will find a stick to replace it,unless and until you convince the ADDICT that he does not need the crutch.

We have to stop blaming things and start taking responsibility for ourselves!!!! Too much sugar can be toxic, yes. Too much water is more apply called drowning. To say SUGAR is the problem is to say the fuel of life is the problem with life.

It is the the OVER CONSUMING, OVER EATING, ADDICTION, of anything that causes the problem.
