      I have been impoverished by my 10.5 year effort, I have been homeless for over 7 years, I have been through the Federal District and Circuit courts 9 times and to the Supreme Court of the United States 4 times.  I spent 411 days in Jail and I have submitted to TWO psychiatric exams - both confirming my SANITY and my COMPETENCY!!!!  I doubt the Judiciary could, en masse, say the same.

David Brooks ("The Leaderless Doctrine")

      

      If you extrapolate out the Declaration of Independence's words you get a "more equal" world.  In a "more equal" world you have less need for an extraordinary leader.  Lao Tzu (Zhou Dynasty 500-400 BC), perhaps said it best:

"The best leaders are those the people hardly know exist.

"The next best is a leader who is loved and praised.

"Next comes the one who is feared.

"The worst one is the leader that is despised."

What Mr. Brooks (“The Leaderless Doctrine”) fails to realize is this started with George Washington's alleged wooden teeth.  We have been HUMANIZING our leaders and making them MORE EQUAL ever since.  We have in essence been defrocking them starting with the first, George Washington, through FDR's mistress, Jerry Ford’s pratfalls, Ronald Reagan's vanity hair, JFK's indiscretions and finally to Clinton's proven non-sexual relations, a.k.a. sodomy, between consenting adults in the Oval Office.

    We the People never needed the extraordinary leader, WE used the extraordinary leader to gathers us into swarms of individuals.  Today We the People have trouble believing ANY individual is truly extraordinary and prefer to use Abraham Lincoln’s maxim, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” And see how the swarm reacts. 

      What We have to do now is extract all the vestiges of the reliance on the extraordinary individual and make all ACCOUNTABLE to the law.  The assertion of a need for Judicial Independence was originally postulated to altruistically SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF JUSTICE in the face of malice, corruption, sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.  Judicial Independence as “absolute immunity” today COVERS UP malice, corruption, sincere ignorance and conscientious stupid EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!
