Right-Wing Media Push For Removal Of "Obstacles" To Nuclear Power In Wake Of Japan's Nuclear Crisis

We need to get past our irrational fear of Nuclear Power. Yes there are issues with nuclear power, nothing is without risk in this world.
There is no other energy source available that can sustain us at our present levels of energy consumption long term BUT nuclear power. I liken Nuclear power to fire. The first cave person that attempted to bring fire into the cave, I am sure ran into major resistance. But with time and familiarity we became accustom to the risk.
There are THOUSANDS of people each year injured or killed by fire EVERY YEAR, yet we continue to cook our meals, heat our homes and drive our internal combustion cars. We have learned to contain the risk and and exploit the benefits. Is it perfect, NO. We still have burn centers and wild-fires.
The Japanese have re-inhabited Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they will contain their current nuclear wild-fire, the result of the tsunami. They will OVERCOME. We need to help them, we need to learn from them.
We need NUCLEAR power!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance,
