WTF is a "narco-terrorist"?

9/11 terrorist clandestinely came into our country and blew up buildings and killed people.  Narco terrorist do not threaten destruction.  Just because Trump puts something / someone on an ill-defined list of asserted terrorist; it does not make them evil.

I grew up affluent in the 1970s.  Alcohol, marijuana and cocaine were available.  I never got HOOKED!  I am not afraid that my son is going to get hooked.  A part from the over prescription of ADHD drugs (Methylphenidate (e.g., Ritalin, Concerta) and Amphetamine-based drugs (e.g., Adderall, Vyvanse, Dexedrine), I am not afraid my grandson will be addicted.  I drank a lot of beer, smoked a little weed and watched Harry J. Anslinger's "Reefer Madness" for fun!!!

 

Yes we had an opiate crisis in the last 10-20 years, aggravated by the NEW designer drug fentanyl.  But that was the result of illicit profiteering/marketing e.g., Purdue Pharma (OxyContin/Oxycodone) supply, naïve if not criminal over prescription by medical professionals before we even get to the users or the narco-importers.

 

I am not afraid of narco importers.  The United States is currently exporting our gangland violence that demanded the end to "prohibition" in 1933 to the third world.  Venezuela if anything ought to be demanding we STOP the demand for drugs as a solution to their domestic issues rather than Trump threatening their shores with aircraft carriers. 

 

We need to take a lesson from Portugal, legalize "drugs" deal with the health issues and instead of starting a trade war or a shooting drug war and sweeping the OUR domestic health issues under the rug!!!

"Drug Abuse" is, was and will always be a "personal responsibility issue."[1]

I saw Tom Cotton on "Meet the Press" 12/7/25.  Clearly Cotton was lying.  Show us the video with location and times stamp.  The TWO surviving shipwrecked speed boat victims exhibited no possibility to reengage hundreds, if not thousands of miles from shore without their motors floating on a partial portion of their boat, sans any motor.

RELEASE the VIDEOS with their times and locations. 

In fact the economics of shooting up a $5K motorboat with maybe $50K worth of wholesale drugs[2] with $200K guided laser missiles is just STUPID.  You could more effectively commission a Coast Guard Cutter[3], without additional expense to do the same thing with their M2 Browning .50 calibre machine guns or 25mm autocannons and their fast-attack inflatables. 

Any "War on Drugs" was, is and will always be a rhetorical assertion!

Drug abuse, in the modern world, will never be fixed or even really ever effected by a shooting war, or a trade war![4] 

"Drug Abuse" is, was and will always be a "personal responsibility issue."[5]

People will always use drugs e.g., alcohol, marijuana, opiates, etc., responsibly and some never can!  Killing others, extorting others will never relieve the personal responsibility failures of the addicted individual. 

Civilized society admitted this with the repeal of prohibition in 1933.  With the modern D.E.A. we have exported the Gangland violence that made prohibition unfeasible in our first world society to the third world.  We expect the "third world" struggling to feed itself, to fight a prohibition battle that we LOST with our well off "first world" society.

"Drug Abuse" is, was and will always be a "personal responsibility issue."

Trump does not want to fix the drug problem.  Trump wants to exploit your naïveté to assert an IMPOSSIBLE shooting war or trade war on "personal responsibility."  Trump wants a shooting war, to kill people and a trade war, to extort from people, TO ENHANCE HIS POWER!!! .

[1] We would be wiser to take the proverbial bull by the horns like Portugal: stop chasing the impossible absolute prohibition, legalize it and TREAT the those that can not use "personal responsibility issue" effectively.

[2] The DRUGS were replaceable at wholesale price not at a street value that always exaggerates their value.

[3] Arguably the cost of the Coast Guard Cutter and the Aircraft Carrier's group are ongoing and are not at issue.  The only issue is the difference between the laser guided missile and the Cutter's autocannon and machine guns ammunition.

[4] China's Boxer Rebellion / Opium Wars were a different time and different place there is no comparison to the FRINGE use of drugs in today's educated, non-deplorable, society..
