"For-Profit" Healthcare is a FAILURE!!!!

Democrats need to holdout, holdout for the Obamacare subsidies, if for no other reason than to keep Trump's inflation in hand!!!!

The United States has "life-expectancy" lower and "infant mortality rate" higher than the rest of the civilized world with UNIVERSAL healthcare. Add to that the United States pays per capita three times the CIVILIZED UNIVERSAL healthcare of the more civilized world.

Why? Because the United States's "For-Profit" Healthcare is an abject FAILURE!!!!!

We had all these debates, when "We the People" passed Obamacare (ACA) into LAW. Trump, M.A.G.A., and G.O.P. just refuse to remember.

Trump and M.A.G.A. want to sneak around Obamacare with their asserted fight against "waste and fraud" to eliminate the SUBSIDIES that REPLACED "For-Profit" Healthcare.

Trump, M.A.G.A., and G.O.P. are so, so, so very naïve. If we do not maintain the current healthcare[1] subsidies, YOU will add 15%-33% inflation rate to the tariff driven overall inflation ratel!

I say again, form the Obamacare argument, "For-Profit" Healthcare is and has been an abject FAILURE!!!!

Yes. The United States' "For-Profit" Healthcare built the greatest Hospitals (think castles), the envy of the world. But the United State's hospitals just like the Castle of the old world, did nothing for the people that actually built them! The CITIZENS, a.k.a. the serfs, could not live in the castles or PAY for the healthcare the modern castles provided. The Obamacare (ACA) SUBSIDIES REPLACED the inequities of "For-Profit" Healthcare. Obamacare FIXED the healthcare inequities!

We the People, Democrats, Republicans and Progressives need to have "THE CONVERSATION." You cannot reasonably argue with name-callers like Trump, M.A.G.A., and G.O.P.

Trump, M.A.G.A., and G.O.P. want to call-names saying that Obamacare is the "big-bad-meany" of socialism. Just look at their take on Zohran Mamdani and Bernie Sanders. To hear Trump, M.A.G.A., and G.O.P., Zohran Mamdani and Bernie Sanders are socialist if not communist. They should not even be considered as plausible, much less even REASONED with as socialist or communist.

To Trump, M.A.G.A., and G.O.P. I say again, UNRESTRAINED "For-Profit" Capitalism has been an abject failure EVERY TIME.

Just look at EVERY monarchy, every war prior to the "cold war," every economic CRASH, every natural-monopoly, i.e., Railroads^{^[2]}, every manmade-monopoly, i.e., Standard Oil (1911), OPEC (1960), AT&T(1982) -- unrestrained, un-democratic capitalism fails.

Marxism, Stalinism and Maoism un-democrat-Socialism have very little, if anything, to do with today's Zohran Mamdani's, Bernie Sanders's or Progressive's Democrat-Socialism. Let's stop the name-calling and look at the REAL ISSUES.

Trump's, M.A.G.A.'s, and G.O.P.'s assertion of unrestrained, undemocratic Capitalism NEVER-EVER-WORKED!

Democratic CAPITALISM at the founding displaced the undemocratic CAPITALISM of the monarchies!!!

I want to take a "time-out" here.

Thomas Jefferson's party, the current Democratic Party, was originally known as the Democratic-Republican Party. At the origination of the Constitution, in colonial times, the populace considered democratic = republican to be synonymous i.e., interchangeable. I make this point to disabuse the name-calling inherent in modern party names. I am just defining terms for the argument going forward. I am not taking a side between Jeffersonian Democratic-Republican Party v. Hamiltonian Federalist Party of colonial times.

If there is anything to be gleaned from the TODAY'S party names, Democrat v Republican. They are both aspiring to the same thing i.e., the origination of the Constitution, in colonial times, the populace considered democratic = republican to be synonymous i.e., interchangeable. I make this point to disabuse the name-calling inherent in modern party names.

ABSOLUTE undemocratic socialism will fail every time, just as ABSOLUTE undemocratic capitalism has failed for CENTURIES i.e., with unregulated/undemocratic railroads, oil (Standard oil in the 20^th Century and OPEC in the 21^th Century), steel, utilities (AT&T) and HEALTHCARE monopolies will continue to FAIL!!!

I was in construction for 40 years. Equipment is a primary cost for construction as it is for most industries. It use to piss me off. I had to pay for my equipment with AFTER TAX PROFITS while healthcare professionals could get their equipment and real estate paid for by tax-free DONATIONS of others.

"For-Profit" Healthcare is an abject FAILURE!!!!! ABSOLUTE undemocratic capitalism has failed every time! ABSOLUTE undemocratic socialism will fail every time!

We need to re-learn Abraham Lincoln's proverbially 11^th Commandment:

You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but you can not foll ALL the PEOPLE ALL THE TIME.

We need to open up the discussion, stop the Trumpian name-calling, come to terms with THE FACTS, a democratic-ly and republican-ly resolve the ISSUE!!

[1] Healthcare is, traditionally, estimated at 1/3 of the household budget. You add 50% to 100% of that and CREATE between 15%-33% inflation rate overall!!!! Democrats and Progressives are HOLDING out to keep inflation in CHECK!!!!

Electric CARS (EV) are unavoidably coming!!!

GM is taking a $2 billion dollar[1] write off to walk away from the Biden era Electric Vehicles (EV) / Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards!!!!

Can anything be more STUPID!!! Electric cars are coming and there is NO way the U.S. / M.A.G.A. / Trump can stop it!!!!

Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) are proverbially stone-age relics! There are fewer and CHEAPER parts in all of an EV than there are in just the carburetion system of an ICE!!! EVs are cheaper to produce, cheaper to run and EASIER on the environment!!!!!

The distribution of electricity is so much cheaper than the distribution of FOSSIL FUELS!! That is before you even get to the GREEN HOUSE GASES created by ICE!!!!

If GM does not want to learn in advance of the future, China is going to make 1973 "oil crisis" Japanese take over of the car industry look like child's play. GM is going to be selling trying to sell the horse and buggy ICE in the modern EV age!
